Take Your Time Counselling reflects two important ideas: taking the time you need to reach your goals or navigate life’s challenges and taking time for yourself. In our fast-paced world, it can be hard to slow down and focus on what truly matters—but this space is yours to do exactly that, at your own pace.

I believe that meaningful change and a trusting therapeutic relationship take time. Therapy isn’t about rushing to a finish line—it’s about giving yourself the care and attention you deserve. Taking this time for yourself is an important act of self-care and a way to invest in your well-being.

Everyone’s journey is different, and there’s no one-size-fits-all timeline for therapy. Together, we’ll figure out what you need so we can make the most of your time and create lasting change.

My Approach

My approach to counselling is integrative, meaning I draw from a variety of therapeutic methods to suit your unique needs. I’m particularly interested in psychodynamic, person-centred, and attachment theory, and I also incorporate techniques from solution-focused approaches like CBT, ACT, and Gestalt Therapy.

At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship. I believe that creating a safe, trusting, and empathetic connection is key to meaningful progress. Every client is different, and I adapt my approach to what feels right for you, always keeping our relationship at the center of the process.

Psychodynamic Counselling

Psychodynamic counselling focuses on exploring unconscious thoughts, feelings, and past experiences to understand and resolve current issues, often emphasizing the impact of childhood and relationships.

Person Centred Counselling

Person-centred counselling is a non-directive approach that emphasizes empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity to help clients explore their feelings and find their own solutions.

Solution Focsued Counselling

Solution-focused counselling is a goal-oriented approach that emphasizes identifying strengths and resources to create practical solutions, focusing on the present and future rather than past problems.

Cultural Awareness and Diversity

I am deeply aware of how your cultural background, upbringing, and personal experiences shape the way you relate to others and view yourself. These factors can play a significant role in self-esteem and personal development.

As part of my commitment to providing the best counselling experience for you, I am trained in difference and diversity. I continually seek further training and research to ensure I understand and respect the unique aspects of each individual’s background.
